return to analog.

bang & olufsen’s core values of heritage and quality resonate with the modern ‘return to analog’ trend, as consumers increasingly value craftsmanship and enduring quality in a market filled with mass-produced items. this trend helps b&o reinforce its identity and enhances design potential while honoring its legacy.

in audio, the return to analog appears as wired headphones and portable amplifiers, which, while effective, often lack character, thoughtful design, and quality materials. a solution could further promote product quality rooted in the return to analog while celebrating b&o’s heritage and music culture.

colors. materials. finish.

b&o uses anodized aluminum for all its products. these finishes reflect their core belief in ‘audio as furniture.’ inspired by beosound a5, beoamp a1 is available in four finishes: gold tone, spaced aluminum, dark oak, and nordic weave. these styles showcase the amplifier's luxurious design, concurrent with b&o’s signature.

the gold-tone version includes 100 milled slots, each 2.025mm in diameter and inclined at 1.925mm, celebrating b&o's 100th anniversary in a subtle yet iconic manner that aligns with the brand's aesthetics.

founded in form. function fit.

beoamp excels where other amplifiers struggle: user experience. high-end audio often focuses on technical details and performance, ignoring design. this leads to powerful but frustratingly complex devices.

beoamp simplifies this with an easy-to-use volume ring and an outward-facing control panel, making it possible to operate with one hand. its magnetic charging and data cable also ensure smooth operation, just like other B&O products.
